Jenny McKenzie
I studied Physiotherapy at Glasgow Caledonian University, graduating in 2003. From there I returned to my North East roots and worked for NHS Grampian for 14 years, before moving to private practice. My experience as a rotational physiotherapist with NHS Grampian gave me a broad mixture of inpatient and outpatient experience before I specialised in the field of Neurological Rehabilitation. I was fortunate to gain experience working in all areas of inpatient and outpatient Neurorehabilitation with NHS Grampian.

Bobath Trained Physiotherapist
Over the years I have completed training in the Bobath Concept with the British Bobath Tutors Association. These internationally recognised courses promote motor learning for efficient motor control, with the aim to improve movement and function in people with neurological conditions.

PD Warrior Instructor
I am fully trained in instructing the PD Warrior principles on a one to one basis and in groups. This is an evidenced based programme of exercises for people with Parkinson’s Disease (PD). The programme involves tailored exercises aimed to promote the brain’s natural ability to re-wire itself as well as targeting key areas in the body prone to being affected by PD.

Qualified Pilates Instructor
Trained through the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI), I am qualified to instruct Pilates on a one to one and group basis. The principles of Pilates fit well with promoting posture, strength and stability in neurological patients and can help form the foundation to developing movement control.

Home Life
Outside work, I enjoy escaping outdoors; whether it be walking, cycling or fair weather running! Family life revolves around our two children. We enjoy sharing time with family and friends and travelling when we can.
